What Affects the New Balance 624 Weight?

Because the 624 is made with a leather upper, it is heavier than the New Balance shoes that use suede, nylon, and mesh on the upper. That said, out of all the New Balance shoes that I tried, this was the most lightweight shoe that had a full-leather upper (show me how the 624 responds on a foot).

So although this shoe is made with leather, it won’t feel like a brick on your foot. One small detail that helps keep the weight down a little bit is the tongue is made of mesh and not leather.
