In my experience, Converse Chuck Taylors run larger than other types of casual shoes. When I have compared their sizing to Vans, Nike, and Adidas, I have consistently found the Converse Chuck Taylors to fit about a half size larger.
Do Converse Chuck Taylors Fit Wide Feet?
Converse Chuck Taylors may be worn as a casual shoe in today’s society, but the history of this shoe is rooted in performance, and because of that, they have a snug, narrow width. If you have wide feet, it’s best to opt for wide sizing. Click here to view the Converse Chucks wide options available at Converse.com (affiliate link takes you to Converse.com).
Do Converse Chucks Stretch Out?
In my experience, no, Converse Chucks do not stretch out. Yes, it’s probably true that all shoes form to your foot a little bit over time, but don’t expect these Converse Chucks to stretch enough to overcome incorrect sizing. This type of fabric doesn’t mold to a foot the way leather does.
How to Size Chuck Taylors
As mentioned above, Converse Chuck Taylors run about a half size larger than your normal shoe size, so sizing down a half size when you buy Chucks is probably best.
