It also works nicely as a lightweight jacket to ride in. This jacket is a bomber style jacket, with a full front zip (no hood). The material is water-resistant to give you added weather protection. In my experience, this jacket is an in-between jacket that fills the void between sweatshirt and winter coat. I like to wear mine between 45 degrees and 60 degrees. It has a lightweight poly/cotton inner lining (the two hand-warmer pockets in the front are also insulated). The main strength of this jacket is in its versatility. It really doesn’t look out of place anywhere, which makes it one of those jackets you can just keep by your door and wear no matter what you are up to. It can be paired with both jeans or khakis. This jacket is very comfortable and easy to wear. The soft-shell makes it very lightweight against the shoulders and very easy to move around in. This jacket definitely does not restrict your movement. Buy this jacket if you need that spring/fall (or mild winter) jacket to fill the void between your hoodie and your winter coat. Dickies Diamond Quilted Jacket Review: Fit The Dickies Diamond Quilted Nylon Jacket fits true to size. It has a standard cut that isn't too tight or too loose. It gives you adequate room through the shoulders and chest so that you can move, but it isn't so much room that the jacket becomes baggy or loose. The overall length of this jacket was more than adequate for me at 6'3" tall (size medium). It hits just below the waist line. If you prefer your jackets to have more of a drop-tail that finishes well below the waist, they do make this jacket in tall sizes. Overall, this jacket has a standard true-to-size fit that gives you enough room to move around in this jacket and use your arms effectively, but isn't cut so baggy that you need to consider sizing down. My recommendation is to order your normal sizing. For me it is that jacket I can leave by the door during the spring/fall months and wear practically anywhere. Do not expect a hard, outer shell. This is not a jacket that prioritizes toughness. If you are looking for an ultra-durable work jacket, you will need to find a different option. This jacket prioritizes comfort and style. It has the clean bomber style and is ultra-comfortable to wear due to the jersey lining, the rib-knit cuffs, and the flexible soft-shell material. Moving around in this jacket is very easy. One small detail I really appreciate about this Dickies jacket is they have actually insulated the front hand-warmer pockets. If you have read any of my reviews you will know that one of my complaints about many work jackets is they don't also insulate the pockets. Dickies got it right here and also insulated the pockets to give your hands extra warmth. This jacket is one of those jackets that is truly an in-between warmth. There have been days where I wore this jacket and felt too warm and days where I wore this jacket and felt too cold. Ultimately, I have found that the 45-60 degree range fits this jacket the best for me. Any warmer than 60 degrees and I will sweat out of this jacket, and cooler than 45 degrees and I will be a bit too cold while wearing this jacket. The material is water resistant so it does give you added weather protection for those drizzly spring/fall days. The material is very soft to the touch and the jacket itself is very lightweight and easy to wear. Buy this jacket if...
