Range of Motion

Large, bulky coats may keep you warm, but they can also cut down on range of motion. This can be especially troublesome for those of us working outdoors.

Winter rain jackets that have a drop-tail finish below the waist can be particularly confining, and reduce your freedom of movement. Be sure to consider this when choosing a jacket. If you need greater range of motion, a jacket that finishes near the waist may be best.

Pockets

What good is a winter insulated jacket if it doesn’t have plenty of pockets to store essentials out of the elements? Having a few reliable zip-close pockets is crucial to help keep essentials like your phone, keys, and wallet dry during a winter rain storm.
