This Nike Air Monarch sizing guide uses direct comparison photos where I put my Nike Air Monarch shoes next to other popular shoes so you can see the difference in sizing and width. After trying these shoes, do Nike Air Monarch shoes run big or small?

Nike Air Monarch shoes fit true to size for most people. They have a normal sizing length, but run a little bit wider than many types of athletic shoes. The Nike Air Monarch does have a slightly bulkier, wider fit than certain types of athletic shoes. For example, here is my Nike Air Monarch (on the left) compared to Nike Air Max sizing:

Do Nike Air Monarch Shoes Fit Wide or Narrow?

Nike Air Monarch shoes run a little wide compared to many other types of popular shoes. For example, below is my Nike Air Monarch shoe compared to Reebok Classic:

And here is Nike Air Monarch compared to Nike Air Max:

But there are types of shoes that have an even wider fit. Many types of New Balance shoes use the SL-2 last, which creates a wider, roomier toe box. If you look below, you can see how the New Balance 577 (on the right) has a rounder, wider toe box than the Nike Air Monarch:

And here is Nike Air Monarch compared to Crocs (which are well-known for having a wide toe box):

The main takeaway is expect the width of Nike Air Monarch to run a bit wider than normal athletic shoes, but it likely will not be enough to overcome the need for wide sizing.

Nike Air Monarch Sizing Conclusion

In my experience, Nike Air Monarch IV shoes fits true to size regarding length. I ordered my normal sizing and they fit comfortably.

On thing to note is the Nike Air Monarch runs a little bit wider than many other types of popular shoes. However, if you have wide feet, it likely won’t be enough to overcome the need for wide sizing.
