How Do Levi’s 510 Jeans Fit?
The 510 jeans are skinny fit jeans that will have that skinny fit from the hip through the ankle. Because of that, you can expect them to be fitted in the hips and thighs, and also the lower leg.
In my experience, they have run true-to-size in both the waist and length. I would caution you though that because these jeans are skinny fit jeans, if you are naturally in-between sizes, it would probably be best to size up to make sure you have enough room to fit into these jeans.

The skinny leg opening can make it difficult to pair these jeans with certain types of boots. If you are wanting a bigger leg opening, but still want fitted jeans, I would suggest looking at the 511 jeans.

Do Levi’s 510 jeans shrink?
The material of the Levi’s 510 jeans varies depending on what color you buy. Most of the colors have material made of 99% Cotton and 1% Elastane, but again, it can differ based on color. Because of this, the shrinking may vary slightly depending on what color you choose.
In my experience, you can expect the 510 jeans to shrink, but the overall amount of shrinkage is quite minimal, and did not affect fit much at all. My jeans tightened up a slight bit, but it was very minimal and I would not recommend factoring it into your sizing decisions.
Do Levi’s 510 jeans last?
My 510 jeans have held up quite well over time. I’m always concerned about jeans wearing in the crotch or the back pocket areas, and with the 510 jeans being a tighter fit, it puts even more stress on these areas.
That said, I have not personally had any issues with my 510 jeans wearing out prematurely. I have had good life out of my 510 jeans. I also have had no problems with the zipper breaking or the button popping loose.
Levi 510 Alternatives
There are other options to consider if you are interested in the 510 jeans. The Levi’s 512 jeans are very similar. The 512 jeans are a slim-taper fit, so they have a slim cut in the waist and thighs, and a skinny fit down near the ankle.
The 512 jeans act as a sort of hybrid between the 511 slim-fit jeans and the 510 skinny-fit jeans. They will be a little bit looser in the hips than the 510 jeans, but will have a very similar fit near the ankle. Here is a look at my 512 Slim-Taper jeans (links at top of article):
Signature by Levi Strauss is a sort of sister brand to Levi (both owned by Levi Strauss). They also have a skinny fit jean that is very similar to the Levi’s 510 jeans. It is a skinny fit from the hip down through the ankle.
