Timberland Boots Sizing

How Do Timberland Boots Fit?

One of the challenges of buying boots is if you get the wrong sizing and fit, they can be quite uncomfortable to wear. But what about Timberland boots sizing? Are Timberland boots true to size?

In general, yes, most styles of Timberland boots run true to size. In my experience, their hiking boots have had very consistent sizing.

Their work boots have also been very consistent and comparable to other work boots I’ve owned. I think I’ve only had one style of Timberland work boots that I felt ran a little bit big.

Do Timberland Boots Run Narrow?

When it comes to work boots, many people want to know about the space inside the boot. Do Timberland boots run narrow?

In my experience, Timberland boots do not run narrow, but it is important to note that I do not have wide feet.

It’s also important to note that it can vary by style. For example, in my experience the Pit Boss boots fit a little tighter than the Direct Attach boots.

The good news is that Timberland offers wide sizing, so if you are concerned about boots being too narrow for your feet, perhaps it would be best to error on the side of caution and get the wide sizing.

Timberland Boots Sizing Examples

Timberland is a leader in creating comfortable and dependable boots. One very cool thing about Timberland is they offer a wide range of work boots so that you can find one that best fits your situation.

Here’s what you need to know about some of their most popular work boots.

Timberland PRO Direct Attach Work Boots

I’m starting with the Direct Attach boots because these are my favorite Timberland boots. You can get these boots in the soft-toe or the steel-toe version.

  • This is the current price of the Timberland Direct Attach Boots available at Amazon (affiliate link takes you to Amazon.com). Waterproof, full-grain leather construction with Thermolite® 200g insulation.

The thing that stands out to me about these boots, and makes them my favorite, is they are insanely comfortable up around the collar, where the boot fits against the ankle.

They don’t pinch and dig into your ankle and top of your foot. Makes it much easier to wear a boot all day when it feels cushioned and comfortable up against the ankle.

These boots, in my opinion, also have the best overall fit out of all the Timberland boots I’ve owned. True-to-size, with the perfect amount of space.

Timberland PRO Pit Boss Work Boots

Just like the Direct Attach boots above, the Pit Boss boots are offered in both soft-toe and steel-toe. These are actually my go-to steel-toe boots and here’s why: I love how compact these boots are compared to other work boots.

  • This is the current price of the Timberland PRO Pit Boss Steel Toe boots available at Amazon.com (affiliate link takes you to Amazon.com).

Sometimes work boots can be oversized and clumsy, and I feel like when you throw in a steel-toe, it makes it even worse. I appreciate these boots because they give me a dependable steel-toe boot that doesn’t feel like a brick attached to my foot.

Overall, these boots fit a bit more snug than the Direct Attach boots we covered first. If you have wide feet, make sure you order the wide sizing. That said, I order my normal sizing for these boots and they fit just fine.

The Pit Boss boots use heat-resistant rubber, which makes them a nice summer work boot, especially if you work on hot concrete or asphalt.

Timberland Mt. Maddsen Hiker Boot

Timberland is very popular also for their hiking and trail boots. Full disclosure here: I am not an avid hiker. I wear these Mt. Maddsen boots mainly because 1) they are insanely comfortable and 2) they function, for me, as perfect boots for yard work, fishing, camping, and other outdoor activites where I want an ankle boot that provides comfortable, but dependable traction.

These Mt. Maddsen boots have a true-to-size fit that is very lightweight and very comfortable.

Timberland Radford Boots

Timberland makes several types of casual boots and shoes that can work both at the office, or casually out on the town. Their chukka boots and chukka sneakers are quite popular, but another very popular casual boot is the Radford.

The Radford boot is a sort of casual take on work boots (of course these boots can also be used as work boots). They have that work boot style, but these boots are much more slim and sleek than most bulky work boots. These boots fit true to size, but make sure you order wide sizing if needed.

These boots combine casual comfort with that blue-collar edge. This is the current price of the Timberland Radford Boots available at Amazon (affiliate link takes you to Amazon.com).
