This is my Wolverine Loader review. These boots have a thick wedge outsole that provide nice cushioning under my foot. This is an unlined boot that is best for dry work environments and allows my foot to breathe. I ordered my normal sizing and they fit true to size.

These are Wolverine’s most popular work boots:

Wolverine Loader Boots Review

Wedge Outsole

The Wolverine Men’s Loader 6” Work Boots have the wedge outsole. I like wedge outsoles because I think they create a softer comfort under my foot.

This is also a thicker wedge outsole. In my review video at the top of the page, I put this Wolverine Loader Boot on the left compared to another wedge sole boot I own to show just how much thicker this wedge outsole is.

Unlined

This is an unlined boot, meaning it is not insulated and it is not made to be waterproof. Unlined boots are obviously good for dry work environments. I like unlined boots because they allow my foot to breathe better than lined boots.

Partially Gusseted Tongue

The tongue is partially gusseted. I tried to show that here on the screen. This tongue gusset helps hold small debris like rocks from slipping down inside the boot.

It also helps keep the tongue centered to prevent it from slipping left or right.

Speed Hooks and Grommets

I want to specifically mention the grommets. These boots have three lower grommets in combination with the two upper speed hooks.

These upper speed hooks help create a wide opening and make it so much easier to slip your feet in and out of these boots. I tried to show in my review video at the top of the page just how wide the opening is for these boots.

My Sizing Advice

In my review video at the top of the page I tried to show on the screen how these boots react on my foot. Again, a comfortable, easy-to-wear design. I ordered my normal sizing for these boots. I don’t have any heel slippage and my toes don’t feel crowded.

The insoles in these shoes are comfortable. Something else I like is these shoes have thick padding around the collar and tongue area. I can feel that padding against my ankle when I lace these boots tight.
